Our History and Passion

Yahachi Koshiyama founded the shop in 1888 in Yasue-cho, Kanazawa City, and primarily produced and sold ama-natto (sugar-glazed adzuki beans) before WWII.

Wagashi（Japanese Confections）

The basis for current Japanese sweets are said to have been established in the mid-Edo period (ca. the 18th century) when a variety of types were created.

We are a two-minute walk from the Owari-chou bus stop, which is three bus stops away from JR Kanazawa Station.

We sell a wide variety of Japanese confections and ice cream.

We also offer a workshop where you can experience making Japanese confections (available Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays) starting at 1:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.

  • We accept a wide variety of credit and debit cards.

  • For our overseas customers, we are able to conduct business in multiple languages.

  • Free Wi-Fi is available inside the shop.
